REQUIRED TEMPERATURE VS PROCEDURE
1.Temp of water duringTapid or cold sponging - 80 to 90°F/ or 27 to 37°C.
2.Temp of blood during blood transfusion -
The temperature of whole blood and red cell components must be kept at +2 °C to +10 °C during transport
3. Temperature during giving enema
Generally in adult -105 to 110°F or 45.5 to 43°c and in children -100°F or 37°c
*Ice water enema -65 to 75°F
*Nutrient enema-100°F
*Stimulent enema -108 to 110°F
*simple enema -105 to 110°F
*Oil and purgative enema -100°F
*Emolient enema -100 to 105°F
4.Temp of vaccine storage
Vaccine name vs storage temperature
BCG vaccine 2°C- 8°C
Hepatitis recombinant vaccine 2°C- 8°C
Inactivated polio vaccine 2°C- 8°C
HPV Gardasil vaccine 2°C- 8°C
Inactivated influenza vaccine 2°C- 8°C
Rotavirus vaccine 2°C- 8°C
MMR vaccine 50°C to - 8°C
Varicella vaccine 50°C to -15°C
BCG: Bacillus Calmette-Guérin;
HPV; Human Papillomavirus;
MMR: measles, mumps, and rubella.
5.Temp during Ng tube feeding- always given at room temperature (20-25ºC)
6.Temp during giving hot water bag -
40 to 60°C
7. Autoclave sterilization -121 to 132°c or 250 to 270°F
