Types of congenital CLUB FOOT
1.Talipes varus-a congenital deformity of the foot in which it is rotated outward so that walking is done on the outer side of the sole.
In this, foot is inverted and adducted at the mid tarsal joints so that the sole 'faces' inwards.
2.Talipes Equinus - is a deformity where the foot is fixed in plantar-flexion.
Here toe are lower than heel,foot points downward and inward
3.Talipes Calcaneus - is a deformity where the foot is fixed in dorsiflexion.
Here toe are higher than heel
4.Talipes valgus-foot is everted and abducted at the mid tarsal joints so that the sole 'faces' outwards.
it is rotated inward so that walking is done on the inner side of the sole.
Foot is eversion or bending upwords
5.Talipes cavus - The logitudinal arch of the foot is exaggerated.
The arch of the foot is high and often the heel adducted.
6.Talipes equinovalgus
It is also known as talipes equinovarus (TEV), is a common foot abnormality, in which the foot points downward and inward
7.Talpies calcaneovarus
Here the ankle joint is dorsiflexed and the forefoot deviated inwards)
8.Talpies calcaneovalgus
a flexible foot deformity (as opposed to a rigid congenital vertical talus foot deformity) that can either present as a positional or structural foot deformity depending on severity and/or causality
9.Talipes cavovarus
Its a condition in which the foot has an abnormally high arch and the heel slants inward.
