*BLINKING REFLEX

Stimulation -Flash of light or puff of hair 

Response - closes eye 

Duration- permanent 

*ROOTING REFLEX

Stimulation - cheek stroked or side of mouth touched 

Response - turn towards source, open mouth and sucks 

Duration - disappear at 3 to 4 months 

*SUCKING REFLEX

stimulation-mouth touched by object 

Response-sucks on object 

Duration-disappeared at 3 to 4 months 

*GRASPING REFLEX

stimulation - palm touched 

Response-Grasps tightly 

Duration - weakness at 3 months, disappear by a year where palmer grasp disappeared by 3 to 4 months and planter grasp by 8 months 

*TONIC NECK REFLEX

stimulation-placed on back 

Response-makes fist and turns head to the right 

Duration - appears at 2 months and disappeared by 3 to 4 months 

*STEPPING REFLEX

stimulation-infant held up right with feet touched with ground 

Response-move feet as if to walk 

Duration - disappear at 3 to 4 months 

*SWIMMING REFLEX

stimulation-placed face down in the water 

Response-makes coordinated swimming movements 

Duration - disappear at 6 to 7 months 

*BABINSKI REFLEX

stimulation-sole of foot stroked 

Response -fans out toes and twist foot 

Duration - disappear at 9 months to 1 year 

*MORO REFLEX

stimulation-sudden move, loud noise 

Response-startles, throws out arms and legs and pulls them towards body 

Duration - disappear at 3 to 4 months
