CRANIAL NERVE VS THEIR FUNCTION AND NATURE

 CRANIAL NERVE VS THEIR FUNCTION

1.OLFACTORY NERVE

         1st cranial nerve

          Function - olfaction

2.OPTIC NERVE

         2nd cranial nerve

         Function - vision

3.OCCULOMOTOR NERVE

         3rd cranial nerve

         Function - movement of eyeballs

4.TROCHLEAR NERVE

         4th cranial nerve

         Function - movement of eyeballs

5.TRIGEMINAL NERVE

         5th cranial nerve

Function -general sensation, opening and closing of mouth, tension of tympanic membrane

6.ABDUCENS NERVE -

         6th cranial nerve

         Function - movement of eyeballs

7.FACIAL NERVE

         7 th cranial nerve

Function - taste, facial movement, salivation, lacrimation

8.VESTIBULOCOCHLEAR NERVE -

         8th cranial nerve

Function - hearing, propreception of head, balance

9.GLASSOPHARYNGEAL NERVE

        9th cranial nerve

Function - Barorecption, taste, swallowing, salivation

10. VAGUS NERVE

       10 th cranial nerve

Function - control of cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal system, general and visceral sensation, speech, swallowing

11.ACESSORY NERVE

     11 th cranial nerve

Function - movement of head and shoulders

12.HYPOGLOSSAL NERVE

          12th cranial nerve

          Function - movement of tongue

Now we just know the the nature of cranial nerve

1.SENSORY

Olfactory(1), optic(2), Trigeminal(5), Facial(7), vestibulocochlear(8), glassopharyngeal(9), vagus(10) nerve

2.MOTOR -

Oculomotor(3), Trochlear(4), Trigeminal(5), Abducens(6), Facial(7), glassopharyngeal(9), vagus(10), accessory(11), hypoglossal(12) nerve

3.PARASYMPATHETIC -

Oculomotor(3), facial(7), glassopharyngeal(9), vagus(10) nerve
